Pioneer + Futaba 7003SB + Cortex Pro

  • Hi all,

I recently installed a pioneer in jet with two 7003SB receivers and a cortex pro in serial.

At the beginning I could not get the pro to recognize the signal no matter how many times I tried. Until I figured I would connect everything to the S.Bus ports rather than the S.Bus2 and it is working. However, my issue now is not being able to receive telemetry as the pioneer requires the SBUS2 ports for telemetry, So my question is, is there a way around this to be able to have the cortex pro in serial while still receiving telemetry data from the pioneer?

The two 7003 are in default mode A.

    Thank you for the help

  • Understood. Thank you Richard for your reply. While I trust powerbox blindly and what you guys make. I just never was able to get any of my mercuries with igyro to feel how I like it. Has there been any updates to the isat vs the older igyro as far as how the gyro feels and reacts?

    Thank you

  • I ended up using the cable loom supplied with the pro to be able to get telemetry values from the pioneer. The other option is to do it in serial. You connect two receivers to the pro. And you connect from the pro to pioneer in the two receivers ports. Let me know if you want more details

Please give me more details. Do you connect the Pro outlet to S-bus 2 for telemetry?

    Thanks

  • If you want telemetry then you have to use the cable loom supplied with the pro. Then you just connect the receivers normally to the pioneer via SBUS2 port to receiver telemetry.

If you decide going to the serial route, then you have to connect the cortex pro to SBUS port on the receiver

    Thanks for that.

So telemetry will not work with serial port, only wire loom. That sucks.
