    Very weird, after pulling The 2 REX12’s, REX3 900 MHz and ENLink out I put in just two R3’s and all was good...but after Ingmar started he had 5 planes using this set up I decided to again start over and rebound all the REX receivers and this time all worked as it should? Very confusing and frustrating couple of weeks, it seems after I rebound the original REX receivers (did not change any UDI settings from previous bind) it did something and worked? I had a perfect maiden on the SAB Havok and looking forward to flying more when the weather allows It.


    I seemed to have come to a fix at least with mine Icebreaker.....i went back and removed the REX12 receivers and put in standard R3 Receivers and now everything works as it should. just upset that this delayed me test flying the new SAB Havok Jet for 2 weeks! Should have tried this earlier instead of letting it frustrate me so badly.



    OK, it appears that you have to use standard R3 Receivers, and that REX Receivers will not work? Out of pure lack of other ideas, I removed the 2 REX12 receivers and replaced with standard R3's with the latest 3.25 UDI16 firmware and now everything works correctly and all the time. FM and Gyro Gain knbbs and the nose steering all are working as they should.

    Richard, do you plan on updating the PowerBox systems to accept EX Bus? I would expect this would allow the use of the newer REX Receivers? I use REX12's in all my aircraft because of the long antenna leads and hate going back to the older R3 receivers, but in this instance, this is exactly what I have to do.

    At least I am relieved that I figured out my issue, but strange that others say they are using REX Receivers and everything works correctly?



    I am also worried about the test flight of my SAB Havok ... my FM switch is still having this behavior as Icebreaker is seeing , but now I am also seeing strange behavior of my nose steering, sometimes nose steering works, then it does not work basically just like the FM switch. I will call Danny tomorrow and see if we can work through this.



    Hello Ingmar, that was the first thing I checked...Servo monitor shows movement between +100/ -100 and the servo setup page shows the end points at +100/ -100. Very strange that sometimes it works and other times locks up in one flight mode. Seems if I just let it sit it will finally update to the flight mode the 3-positon switch indicates.


    Hello, I have been setting up my first Powerbox Mercury, I have had some questions and thanks to Richard I am setup the way I want and ready to test fly, I like having the 900MHz backup available with the DS24 so had to work around that with a Jeti ENLink, but now all works great with one strange exception, sometimes when I change the Flight Mode Switch, the Mercury display changes between FM1, 2 and 3 as it should...other times it doesn’t change and follow my Flight Mode switch on the radio? Meaning I switch from 2 to 3 it stays at 2? There is no rhyme or reason when it does may work just fine, then lock up for a few minutes on any of the 3 FM’s?

    Any idea’s. Could it be low GPS signal? Display says OK for GPS, but I am inside, have not tried it to see if OK outside with Strong GPS
